West Palm Beach - The past February 23, 2009 Lois Frankel, mayor of the City of West Palm Beach, recognized the bicycle as a viable and environmental form of transportation and an excellent form of recreation.
Raphael Clemente, a downtown development authority attended to the act and thanked the Mayor for the proclamation 
. Jack Hairston, president of Jack the Bikeman, Inc. also, was present, made a presentation and responded to Commission questions.
The Mayor declared the month of March as Bicycling Month.
