Jack The Bike Man Presents CycleFest 2011, February 25, 26, and 27, 2011

“The event is on the calendar”, said a representative of Special Events with the City of West palm beach to Jack Hairston, last Friday. Jack The Bike Man presents CycleFest 2011 will be held in downtown West Palm Beach February 25, 26 and 27 next year.

“Here is what we will be doing during our weekend of fun”. Proposes Jack.

Friday night the opening ceremony will be at the Meyer Amphitheatre with a welcoming and introduction and then a procession to City Place where our first race will take place; this will be a Criterium Race which is for several categories of professional racers on bicycles.

Saturday morning another Criterium race starting on Flagler at the Meyer. During the morning we will have some events in the Meyer that are a lot of fun for people on bikes, maybe even a bike polo game. After 2:00 P M when the Green market closes we will set up in the Waterfront City Commons Park for events in the evening that will be aimed at the adult crowd. We will have a Bicycle themed Movie and the Freakbike Militia ride along with some outrageous fun and games.

Sunday morning there will be yet another Criterium race and we are hoping to have a 100 mile ride or a big race starting at the Waterfront Commons Park and finishing at the same place. During the day there will be many different events with bicycles that will be for children as well as families.
